ABOUT ME

   My name is Leva Maria Choden and I am a San Francisco photographer who specializes in portraiture. My photographic journey began with my love for night photography. I was amazed by how magical a night scene could look: car lights trailing through city streets and/or illuminated architecture creating glowing forms.
    As I began to do more portraiture work I realized faces too could show something initially unseen to the naked eye. With timing, I capture an unseen narrative, a feeling or emotion being told through the subject. I have worked with my clients to tell their stories through photography, share in their grief and happiness, to produce something more than a conventional photo.
